A picture of myself coming out of turn 9 at PIR, Turn 9 is the slowest
turn on the track, so the shot gives little "action".
Though one can see that body roll is next to non-existent.
I bought this 1997 Pacific-Green coupe 10/31/96 off the lot. Build
no #366. As far as mods, my engine is stock except for a K&N air filter
(completely stock air silencer and housing) and Mobil 1. Suspension and
otherwise: Eibach Pro Kit springs (& pinion snubber), Tokico 5 way
adjustable "illumina" front struts & rear shocks, Steeda rear upper
control arms, Steeda rear lower control arms, Steeda c/c plates (upper
strut mounts), Steeda offset steering rack bushings, Stainless steel
front brake lines, High temperature brake fluid, Hawk Carbon metallic
front brake pads, 3.73 gears (& speedo gear), Pro 5.0 shifter, rear axle
oil vent and overflow hose, custom harness bar with 6 point 3 inch
harness, on the track I use BFG R1's on my original wheels, 255/40-17,
for the street (and track in rain) I have (SVO) R wheels with 255/40
275/40 BFG ZR Comp T/A's, that's the bulk of it, there's more other
stuff that doesn't affect performance. Awesome track car, as an example:
This car has held it's own against a 94 Ferrari 512 TR on the track. I raced a
perfectly restored Pantera (soo beautiful) at PIR with a built 351 (377
cid, claimed 450 hp) motor and though he clearly was quicker than me
out of the turns and on the straight, we were turning identical lap times due
to the incredible brakes of my car. I easily gained back with the
brakes what he had with his motor.
